I ordered pot roast to-go on Saturday February 18th. Over the phone my server told me that it was busy and would take 20 minutes. After I showed up the server told me it was going to be another 20 minutes. She was sorry and offered me a cup of chicken noodle soup to-go...When I looked up in the kitchen I did not notice any sense of urgency for the busy restaurant. I have managed restaurants that have sold over $20,000.00/day in sales, and I never had to deal with a 40 minute to-go item. I was not able to wait for an additional 20 minutes and the staff was not helpful. I was offered a muffin and soup.

When I am in Portland, I make it a point to stop in for breakfast. The Eggs Benedict are the best I have ever had!!! Love it!!
The food was much better than expected!! From the outside I was questioning the place but as I entered I was suprised at how nice the place was. The food was even better! The service was okay. Not exceptional and not bad. The cook is great got mussel

Amazing place! It is a landmark! Tom manning was a hero to save it from being demolished! The wait staff are all beautiful and sweet as can be. The food is great! Almost everything is bought locally, and is fresh, also, homemade! Check it out!

I read a review of the Miss Portland Diner in the Portland Magazine and was excited to try it. When we arrived, we were greeted at the door by the owner who barely cracked a smile. We were seated promptly and placed our order in due course. Then we proceeded to wait for what seemed like an eternity for our food. We asked the waitress about the status of our order several times and was told repeatedly that it was coming shortly. After about 50 minutes of waiting (we didn't order anything too complicated)and watching two tables next to us come and go, we decided to leave. On the way out we explained to the owner why we were leaving and he was extremely rude and unapologetic. Needless to say, we will not be returning there. Since our bad experience I have heard others commenting on the lousy service as well. Since we never recieved our food, I can't comment on that.

I had a great lunch at Miss Portland Diner...the soup was terrific and the tuna wrap w fries was the best one I ever had..the price was very reasonable too. I will go back soon.
