For nearly 40 years, Michael's Sirloin Room was known as Birmingham's premier steakhouse, serving exceptional food with unsurpassed hospitality. Sadly, the original Michael's' location closed in 1992.

But, today the famed traditions of Michael's are back in one unique restaurant Michael's Steaks and Seafood and Michael's Restaurant. The gallery of autographed photos from sports stars and celebrities still adorn the walls and the hand-cut prime steaks and seafood specialties are hearty and delicious including the legendary Original Steer Butt Steak. Michael's is Alabama's exclusive restaurant for Certified Hereford Beef, which is rated at the top one percent of all beef available today.

Stacked stonewalls surround the exterior of the restaurant and lead guests into the bar. Here a two story, framed ceiling rises above the bar, providing the perfect environment to enjoy a cocktail and some conversation. Flat screen TVs flank the bar with the latest sports action and live smooth jazz sets the mood for a great evening.

The focal point of Michael's Steaks & Seafood is the spectacular illuminated mural of the Birmingham skyline taken at sunset atop Red Mountain. Below the mural is a stacked stone wall with an arched opening into the copper lined kitchen.

Michael's offers on-site party planning, catering, and a private dining room that seats up to 42 equipped with a 50 inch plasma screen TV for presentations and wireless Internet. It's also the perfect setting for rehearsal dinners or birthday parties.
