I was in a group of five who went to Mexican Village. Our waitress indicated dollar margaritas were the special (on Tuesdays they are a dollar except for jumbo which are $3.50). The margaritas were tasty but when we received the bill we were charged $2.25 per margarita. Our waitress said ‘I guess it’s my bad’, but did not offer to fix it. She stated that since the margaritas we ordered were flavored, they were $2.25. We explained that she did not tell us that stipulation or say anything when we ordered the Strawberry dollar margarita. We even asked her which was more economical, a jumbo or buying two or three dollar margaritas (She indicated the dollar margaritas). She said she couldn't fix the tickets even though it was her fault so we suggested she talk with the manager to find a solution. The manager told us they cost $2.25 and wanted to know how we wanted this fixed. We told him we just want to pay what we were told and he said that allowing customers to pay $1 for $2.25 margaritas would "break" them. He then called the General Manager and was told he could take one drink off each ticket. We spent MORE than double what we were told. The food was good. When we were leaving, the manager said someone in our party still looked sulky and asked her if she wanted a hug. We will not go to Mexican Village again. It is not right that we as customers had to pay for the mistake of the server. Thank goodness it was dollar margaritas and not half-price entrees she was peddling!

I was in a party of five celebrating a friend's birthday. Our friendly waitress told us of their dollar margarita special on Tuesdays. We each ordered a few of the dollar margaritas with our dinner and a couple of us ordered fried icecream. When our bills came, we were shocked to see that we were charged $2.25 each. We asked the waitress if there was a mistake and she said due to our margaritas being flavored they weren't a dollar. We told her that when we ordered our drinks, we specified that we wanted the dollar margaritas and she did not tell us that there was a difference. She said 'I guess that's my bad, but I don't know what you want me to do about it'. We asked her to check with her manager. After telling him of our margarita mix up he asked if we had ever eaten at the restaurant before and since we had we should know their special does not include flavored margaritas. He asked us what we wanted him to do about it. We said we would like to pay the price we were told for our drinks. He said that would "break them". He called the GM and was told to take one drink off each ticket. We still ended up paying more than double of what we were initially told. The food was good.
