I have dined at this restrurant since it opened years ago. The attitude of the staff is now off the charts in total lack of customer service and the food is average at best. I WILL NEVER go to Meleys again !!!!

I have been going to Melys for years. I have overlooked the slow service and the escalating prices in every visit, but this was the last straw. I was picking up a to go order when and when I asked for more salsa I was given attitude about needing to pay extra because ".it is a compliment of the house, not a given." Then when I questioned this I was told "this is a restaraunt". I was very unhappy about being spoken to this way by a girl sitting on a bar stool BEHIND the bar. When I asked for the manager she told me she was the General Manager! She did not genuinely apologize for this and repeatedly asked if I wanted to return my dinner. I tried to get her to understand as calmly as I could that I was not a child, but a long time paying customer, but she was not attentive to anything that would please the client. Unfortunately I was also told that there was no one else above her, nor was there a corporate office. If the management has regaurd customer service who in the restaraunt will?
I strongly advice the next guest to avoid this rude establishment...There are plenty of places on there level in our area that do not come with a side of attitude.

Its the best mexican food in town. I recommend it to family and friends. The prices are resonable for the quality of the meal.

I have lived in League City for over 15 years and have been to Mely's a hand full of times. I keep going back b/c I think , "it was just a bad day for them last time". Well I have been wrong evertime now and I will never go back. The food isn't to rave about, it is WAY over priced, and the service is bland to terrible. For the fajitas they charge extra for cheese, guacamole, jalapeños, sour cream, and salsa. The fajita meat tastes ok but you don't get very much of it. When we asked to talk to the manager about the amount of fajita meat she simply did not care and said there was nothing she could do about it. On top of all that they charge you for chips and salsa. Once when I was there they charged for all chips and salsa and the next time it was just the re-fills. Over all there are a bunch of great Mexican food restaurants in the League City area that I will continue to go to and will recommend to my family and friends.
