A diner from Dallas, TX
Jan 28, 2010
I ordered from them 3 weeks ago, and my order arrived incorrect. I looked for their phone number and discovered they didn't take care of problems but the customer should call the restaurant. I didn't really have the time to deal with it (that's why I ordered in), so I chalked it up to experience and decided not to order from them again.
Two weeks go by, and a new charge appears from them on my credit card statement. I figure it's a system glitch, probably easily fixed, and I hate to saddle anyone with an uneccessary chargeback fee; so I called them directly to ask them to credit my account. I have now spoken to 2 people. Neither has apologized for the inconvenience at all; neither suggested they do what they can to investigate the problem. They both went straight to the suggestion that I don't know how to read my credit card statement - that perhaps this was a pending charge from my order 3 weeks ago (credit card charges don't pend for 2 weeks, and they certainly don't show up twice for 2 different amounts!!) They both said that since they didn't see the charge under my name, it must not exist; nevermind the fact that I am looking at the charge on my statement! I explained to the manager that obviously the second charge was not made under my name, and that I thought he needed to go down the list of credit card charges for that day looking for the amount and my credit card number; he told me he knows how his system works. I have not been particularly polite (not obnoxiously rude or abusive, just not gentle and accommodating), and the attitude that the problem is more likely with me than their system is why. In this case, it is not true; in others it might be. But using that as a starting basis is not the way to gain customers.
