What the heck happened to my favorite Italian place in Belleville? Our waitress was unfriendly, uninterested, and very inattentive. The "salad" was a bowl full of lettuce with one (really? one!) pepperoni and half (really? half!) a cherry tomato. Whatever happened to putting cheese on a salad? I could have gotten better lasagna from Stouffers for 12 bucks and maybe there would have been some meat and cheese in it (Oh, and that would have been more palatable too!) Wow! Very disappointed, I guess Maxwell's is either cheaping out or has lost what made it great.

The place has been around downtown Belleville forever. Best food in town with more choices than you will find in the chains and a better environment as well. Cozy small but not cramped inside. Very friendly staff and good value in what you get for the price. Very popular with the lunch crowd for great salads. Really nice for a quiet evening with friends. Call ahead if you have a bigger group. Personally, I go for the pizza and have done so for over 20 years. There are a lot of choices for the rest of the family. They even serve good fish!

Our exercise class from St. Paul's U. C. C. enjoyed our lunch outing. Food, service, atmosphere is excellent. Manager and staff great! Dee and Bill Zopp will certainly return. Delightful!!!

Eh, was ok. Place was nothing fancy to say the least. Food was ok. Had the fish with ginger; was pretty good. Their bowls of noodles looked fab. But wouldn't return. Not my type. We received customary donuts afterwar

went there on a Friday night with my girlfriend. Had to wait a bit so went to the bar to order a drink. The bartender seemed to be having a bad day, or bad life, and didnt appear to even own a smile to wear on her face.

This is carryout only now with 3 or 4 tables for dining in. The owners wife took our order. Service was fast & professional. Food was excellent especially the "V sauce" which Joe the owner makes himself. It is called
