About Matty's Downtown
The vision for Matty's Downtown was conceived in 1995. While attending Clemson University we were lucky enough to work at Niffer's Place, a restaurant that provided much of the inspiration for our menu, our mission and our customer service.
We are committed to offering you great food, exceptional service and value in a fun atmosphere. We aim to be a good neighbor and are eager to be a part of the rebirth and renewed spirit of downtown Anderson.
Oh yeah, and if you ever find yourself in Alabama be sure to visit our good friends at Niffer's Place in Auburn and Niffer's on the Lake on Lake Martin. They continue to serve up a pretty mean burger and their service remains legendary.

I love eating at Carson's but I was a little disappointed the last time my husband and I ate there. There was hair literally baked into the bread and when I told the waitress it was basically oh "okay I'll get you more."

Don't come unless you're really, really hungry. They pile the food on your plate. I love how you can get turkey and dressing any time of the year. This is a meat and three serving line and the selection is really good
