Unfortunately the hype around Massimo's is far-overrated. Yes, they have linen tablecloths, but that doesn't make a quality restaurant. First and foremost, the food has to be good. And at Massimo's, sadly, the food is only mediocre. It's average Italian fare with nothing special to recommend it. Very heavy-handed, too. Maybe it used to be good, but restaurants change, and I'm afraid this has not changed for the better. And that means it is far over-priced for what it offers.

This used to be a 5-star (at least 4.5) experience just about every time. Food not nearly as good now.

A great Italian place for a romantic evening. Food is pricey, but very good. Private booths for seclution, a good wine list and good service.
Definately reccomend this place for a nice romantic dinner.

Remarkably bad value. Small scallops were mushiest I've ever had. Large scallops had great texture, but no flavor. Calamari were nicely seasoned, but half were so dry, we thought they might be tossed in from yesterday

Absolutely the best vet estaurant in the fremont area!!!!! Best omelets ever !!! It's been awhile since I've been there but Norma is the best !!!!! My father loved it there had breakfast all the time and we all loved it
