I wish I could add a favorable review for the Lobster Trap. I didn't try the lobster, perhaps their signature dish. I did try one of the specials, the seafood platter. The fried clams, promoted on the menu as "Maine" clams were the smallest clams I've eaten, the shrimp were the size of popcorn shrimp, the white fish (listed as haddock) was not haddock and definitely not fresh and the fries were also obviously frozen. The platter had two full size scallops, and small bits of pieces of scallops. I've lived in New England all my life and have ordered many seafood plates. This by far, was the worst seafood plate I have ever eaten. I always make it a point to conatct an eating establishment when a meal is exceptionally good - or exceptionally bad. After getting back home, I called the Lobster Trap to report my experience, I asked to speak with the manager or owner. The man I spoke with on July 14, Saturday afternoon, was rude, stated, why didn't you tell your waitress, how am I suppose to make your meal right now?" I replied that it wasn't something the waitress could remedy and that was the poor quality of the food served, that's why I did not bother the wait staff who were quite busy. His response, he hung up the phone on me. I called back and spoke with the same man, asking if this was the way he treated customers who provided constructive criticism. He said I'm too busy. I suggested I notify the local chamber of commerce about my experience and his rudeness. He replied, "contact whoever you want,"and hung up again. I found his customer service skills more distasteful than the food. our first and last visit!

Was in N. Conway in 2005, missed going to the Lobster Trap because I never heard or saw it. To much construction traffic on N. Conway main road this week 8/20/2006 took me by Lobster Trap. Best restaurant in New England, broiled seafood platter with red sauce is out of this world. Will be back many many times in the future. 10 star rating +++++++++

Great baked stuffed lobster seafood platter to die for. Also have other things to offer to people in your group that don't like seafood (italian) Off the main road but worth looking for... not hard to find with directions.
