I brought my family to dine at Lidio's last night and was extremely pleased with our dining experience! From start to finish everything was perfect. We started with Broccoli appetizer and even my kids loved it, the garlic dip was so delicious! I love garlic and our waitress recommended the Chicken Pre-pesto, it was so tender and the way the garlic was cooked made it almost sweet. My husband had the Salmon with dill and found it delicious too. Our meals came with a fresh salad, no place gives it away anymore, you usually have to pay extra for one. My kids ordered off the great kids menu which kept them occupied throughout the meal. It's great to find a place that we can get gourmet food for us and meals for the kids as well. For the 4 of us to dine out it costs under $50 +tip! We'll definately go back this weekend!

The atmosphere is tacky--garden trellis and plastic grape vines. But, that would be forgiven if the food was good. The bread basket was obviously store bought "Italian" bread. The portabello mushroom appetizer was awful. The mushrooms were soggy and overcooked. The vinagrette was so strong you couldn't taste the mushrooms at all. It just tasted like vinegar. My husband's "garden salad" was lots of lettuce, store bought croutons, 2 cucumber slices, 1 slice of red onion and 1 cherry tomato. The dressing was not the kind he ordered. When I asked about the soup I was told they had "chicken, sausage and potato". I ordered the potato. When it came I thought it looked weird, but decided to give it a try. The first spoon tasted horrible but I couldn't figure out why. As I was preparing the second spoonful I realized the soup had sausage in it. I told the waitress she brought me the wrong soup. She told me she hadn't. The soup choices had not been chicken, sausage OR potato. They were chicken soup OR sausage AND potato soup. I'm a vegetarian so I was not going to eat that soup. She offered to bring me a salad. But, after seeing my husband's pitiful salad I didn't want one. My husband eats meat so he decided to have my soup. He also thought it was bad. He said it tasted "old" like it was made a long time ago, frozen and reheated. Likewise, my husband's salmon tasted old and his mashed potatoes were watery. My eggplant parmesan was also bad. The pasta was cold. The tomato sauce was bland. The eggplant was sliced thinner than I thought possible and tasted like it was frozen and reheated. When an Italian restaurant can't handle a standard dish like eggplant parmesan it doesn't say much for the restaurant. The best part of the meal was the ice water. We won't be back.

I knew we should have turned around and headed back out the door when the hostess' response to party of 5 was "oh crap". We were seated in the back room. The atmosphere was ok - it needed a little cleaning and maybe some new wall treatments. However, the food was absolutely disgusting. We ordered 2 chicken parms and 2 veal parms. The food we received was mushy and had been clearly sitting for some time (or had been re-heated despite claims of "made to order"). The pasta was over cooked and mushy. The chicken parm was soggy and had grated parmigiano cheese on top in order to cover up the dried out mozzarella. It was what I would have expected had I taken the food home and microwaved the left overs, not just been served them at a restaurant. The owner/manager was no help. She clearly didn't want to hear we were dissatisfied and simply said "I guess you're just not used to how we make it here." But I guess she is right - I'm not used to over priced mushy reheated food.

A great family restaurant My parents love Lidios, I love it and our kids love it. Not easy to find a restaurant that 3 generations love. The food is unbelievable and affordable. Thanks Lidios.
