I dined here on October 8, 2010 with a party of 4. I've dined here several times over the last 20 years, just after Marilyn Flannery took over. The food is always excellent. However, they have now added a huge bistro pavilion in back. When you expand you don't have to increase the excellence of the food, but you do have to expand the service. Our waitress was pleasant but extremely harried. After spilling water on the table she stated that it was a "madhouse out there!" referring to the main dining areas. We had been seated in a non-descript back room approximately the size of my home office in which 18 people were literally crammed. The din of resultant conversation of such close proximity was deafening. We waited about 40 minutes for our entrees - but the bread was good! You couldn't move without hitting the next table. In addition, as all restaurants seem to do these days without thinking (except about profits!) they cluttered three tables for two in with three tables for four. The room should be one or the other, but NEVER mixed. Romantic table for two??? I don't think so. The couples must have felt like they were in the 700 level at an Eagles' game. The wine mark-up is 125% so be careful. A bottle of KJ Chardonnay I buy for $12 runs $30. The place was packed. I love the food, but if you value you your sanity, avoid it. Tray the Savory grill! Much better!

My wife and I eat at this restaurant fairly regularly, once a month or so. We are local to the area. Every time we go we enjoy our meal. Most of the time the food is exceptional. The portions are filling, and the service is attentive but informal. The meals, which come with two sides one being the salad, range from the high teens to about thirty dollars. However, recently they have introduced a “small plate” menu that offers wonderful and adventurous cuisine that is more moderately priced. I’m not sure if they offer it every night of the week. The restaurant seems to have a devoted following; lots of familiar faces. Certainly it is one of the better and more consistently excellent restaurants in the area.

We very much enjoyed our visit to the Landis Store Hotel restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was friendly and efficient. My brother-in-law is a chef who was visiting from Vermont. He had a chance to chat with the Landis Store chef and he was very impressed. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

The food is out of this world. The service impeccable. Our waitress was not real personable but very quick and paid a lot of attention to our table. It was refreshing to have ths kind of food and service with ambiance.

This restaurant has been open for years and the one problem is that they do not take reservations and its in a rather remote area. Often one must wait an hour for a table. The bar serves great drinks and the food is quite good and in general worth the wait.
