After searching all over for "real" Mexican food without success, Chef Sergio Laureano decided to open his own restaurant. One that could make you and your taste buds travel to Guadalajara his home city in seconds. He makes sure that all the food is 100 percent homemade. He gives each and every plate a little twist to make it his own. At the same time he keeps the flavors of the food as authentic as it should be.Owning a restaurant was one of the most important goals in Sergio's life. Inspired by his mom, Sergio started to cook at a young age. While he was helping his mom in the kitchen, Sergio was learning some of the recipes he uses now in La Perla Tapatia. It wasn't until the age of thirty-two that he began to work for a restaurant. On March 28, 2009 Sergio finally reached his life goal with the inauguration of La Perla Tapatia.
