a comfortable place for good basic mexican food - quiet and un-assuming, but not small or dark - the same steady staff has been there forever - food is not very spicy, presentation is nothing special, but overall quality is just fine

the soups are above average

this is how "authentic mexican" food was presented
15 or 20 years ago, before the big chains started
doing brightly decorated places with visual
clutter, cutesy uniforms, and pitchers of
overpriced margaritas

i often see single diners coming in to
enjoy a lunch, and the place is seldom crowded

enjoy the food without overstimulation

The food was bland - tasted like it was prepared from frozen food (I have had better frozen food than this fare). Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for something better than Taco Bell. My place setting was soiled, and the floor hadn't been swept in some time. Service was tolerable, but didn't impress. The person that I was with was even less impressed with the whole experience.
