Avoid this restaurant at all costs. Very overpriced food and the restaurant is very dirty. The owner could not even cook a cheese burger medium, it was cold and raw. I sent the burger back and the owner put the same burger back on the grill and burned it so that the cheese was charred, slapped a piece of cheese over the burned cheese and served it back to me. When I pointed out that it was not edible the owner argued with me that he had been cooking burgers for 20 years. I will never go back.

We go there as often as we can and absolutely love the food and the people there.
It is a friendly and relaxed place, not stuffy, so maybe that is what bothered the person that gave it a negative rating.
They hand carve the meat and cook it to perfection. Their house salad dressing is just awesome and the service is very friendly.
We have tried a lot of places, include Ruths Steak House, Lone Star etc. But we find the autmosphere and the food to be the best at Kirklands. Also if you like green chili burritos, you will absolutely love the one at kirklands.

We make a yearly trip to Az from Alaska to visit family and the Kirkland Bar and Steakhouse is always a planned stop. We enjoy the ambience, history and delicious food. Herb and Barb always remember us.

They do accept cash and credit cards now. The food is so good. The best in Yavapai county in my opinion. The shrimp and lobster are fantastic. They have a live band on weekends, and everyone dances the night away. The steaks the owner cuts when you order them, then he cooks them over the fire pit. You can cut them with a fork. By far the best meal I have had in a long time!!!!

Horrific Service. Bartender: blatent rude behavior. I specifically asked if she would take my Visa and she accepted. She told me no tabs,. Fine no problem. But when I went to order another round and handed her my Visa, she looked at me and said "I can't be doing this all night". Then she looked at one of the other customers and said loud enough so we could hear her "I could have waited on 6 people by the time I run a credit card, I hate these damned credit cards". Now, on the first bill, the one where she said she did take cards I left her $2 on a $5 tab and intended to do as much or more as the evening progressed. My Mother put me thru school bartending. Instead we left after her really unnecessary comments. So I figure she missed probably $15-20 on just us "damn credit card" people. note* there weren't even 6 people at the bar total for her to serve while she ran our card.

The food is good and prices reasonable. The steaks are cooked over an open fire pit. Lots of history here!!! But make sure you bring cash because they don't accept any credit cards.
