Come and taste why, Idaho’s Scene Magazine said; “Kahootz Steak & Ale House is worthy of a visit!”
They are locally owned and operated, and it shows! From their servers that remember your name, to the Chef’s hand carving steaks, from regional “prime” beef, they even fly in their seafood to assure the highest quality for you. The difference is in the details, like using seasonal ingredients & fresh herbs. They also boast some of the best homemade soups & desserts anywhere in the valley.
And when you mention Idaho’s largest selection of 43 draft beers and a fantastic list of regional wines, it’s easy to see why critics say; “Kahootz is worthy of a visit!”

I have been eating at Kahootz for over a year now and I have never had a bad experience there. The food blew my mind, I mean who can get a steak that good, that size and for under 25 bucks? OMG Clam Chowder! The place is small but who cares! It's clean and the service staff rocks!

The Food was OK, but way overpriced for what you get. When I told the waitress that I only wanted a glass of water to drink, she gave me a dirty look. The food was lukewarm, almost cold when we finally got it. Will never eat there again.

If you do not order alcohol, the waiter does not care to serve you.
I asked for coffee and they did not have any made and the waiter was upset that he had to make some.
I did not get any refills on coffee or water and my food was overcooked and cold.
I have learned not to complain as it takes too long to get anything done.
I will never recommend this place to anyone and you do not have to drink alcohol to enjoy a good dinner.
All in all. I was very dissatisfied with my experience there.

We eat at Kahootz often. We have eaten at most all fine(and some not so fine) eating establishments throughout the treasure valley and Kahootz is by far the best food and at a reasonable price to boot. The printed daily specials are always awesome and we can hardly wait to return. The best appetizers I've ever had: crab stuffed portabello mushrooms. Excellent wine selection and value. Excellent beer selection on tap. What more can you ask for?
