I grew up in the neighborhood behind the Jolly Burger and would come here as a kid with my family. It was ALWAYS a treat as Jolly Burger had this HUGE selection of milkshakes, like 30 flavors or more! I honestly do not remember their food much as the last time I ate there I was still a kid, but of course, I remember their shakes.

Sadly, The Jolly Burger is no more, closed sometime in the late 1980's or early 1990's and finally, the building and cool sign were taken down sometime in the late 90's or early 2000's. All that remains of this place is its concrete footprint and foundation. Judging by the way it was built, it looked as if it was a 1950's or 1960's type drive in, where you had the place to the right of the small building to park your car with the outside benches with the cover over them for when it would rain. I can only imagine the history this place must have had. Wish I had a photograph of it when it was at all of it's glory.
