Humphrey's was the dinner showplace in Antioch when it first opened - years ago. However, things have changed! The building that Humphrey's occupies is beautiful - natural wood, etched glass, brass and a view of the water. We had dinner for 8 there on Saturday, Oct 20, 2012. I want to tell you that this is the worst meal I have ever been served in my entire life! One person in our party ordered Prime Rib - big mistake! Although she ordered Prime Rib I really don't know what she was served. The meat resembled briscit, was cold and tasteless. Without going through everything that we ordered I will say that whatever you, find another place for dinner! We had 4 adults and four children in our party. The 4 children ordreed kids meal and 3 of the adults had one drink each. The bill came to $154.00. The "Martini up" that I ordered had some oily residue floating on top and tasted terrible. What a shame to watch what used to be a great dining place turn into a garbage dump. Sorry Humphrey's but I have to tell the truth. By the way, the new owners at Humphrey's owned a Mexican Restaurant in Antioch and offers Mexican food also. Save yourself a lot of money and heartburn and try something new.

After 40+ years of cooking the Thanksgiving Dinner, I was looking forward to having the pleasure of a "Thanksgiving Day Buffet" at Humphrey's in Antioch! What a sad, dismal state of affairs: There was some turkey left (and it was quite tasty); No Glazed Ham; No Roast Beef; No Mashed Potatoes; No Yams; No Cranberry Sauce; No Dinner Rolls...and NO MANAGER to address our disappointment (we believe he was at the bar watching the game)!!! Just a bill for $56.18 for a miserable excuse for a meal and 2 well drinks. This is a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Delta and one would think that it would be full of patrons. We've only been there 3 or 4 times over the years and it's always practically empty...NOW we know why! The only saving grace is the wait staff!!
