The Hog Pen BBQ Restaurant was built by a family with families in mind. The Forte's wanted a family style restaurant, where family and friends could come together and dine. Although the vision was for a dine in restaurant, the family decided to start with a take out style restaurant only. The menu was a simple one, but never the less tasty. The menu consisted of ribs, pulled pork, chopped beef, smoked chicken, and catfish as the main meats. You could also choose between our delicious sides which consisted of coleslaw, potato salad, and baked beans. But over the years the menu has changed, but the tastiness of our food hasn't. You can ask any of our loyal customers that have been with us from the first day of opening that we are consistent when it comes to our food. It is always the same, always Hog Pen quality. The Hog Pen has under gone some changes, from a take out to a dine in, sitting a hundred at the most. The Hog Pen's menu has more to choose from, adding fried shrimp, boudain, Cajun sausage, and much more. We believe in treating our customers with respect and making them happy, and of course satisfying their tummies. So come on by and let us feed you.
