The Hitchin’ Post Restaurant in small town Hallam, Nebraska has always been a family oriented eatery.I remember I always used to eat there when I was young and they just had the best food around. When the tragic F-4 tornado struck Hallam in the spring of 2004, The Hitchin’ Post was one of the many beloved structures that went down. It devastated me because now to get a good burger, I would have to drive 25 miles to Lincoln to get one. About 2 years ago, there was a rumor going around that the home town favorite restaurant was under new management and steadily making a comeback. And soon after that with the help of some plywood, some flashy neon signs, a pool table and a couple Larry the Cable Guy calendars, the Hitchin’ Post was once again the main attraction in Hallam.
