Neskowin Restaurant Guide

This place does have really good food & it's worth the long wait, but I just experienced some of the worst customer service of my life. We had 14 people staying nearby & decided to order some pizza to go. I called and was asked to hold, the phone was set down so I could hear the restaraunt was busy. After 10 minutes, I knew they forgot me, so I started yelling hoping they would hear me through the phone. After 20 minutes, I drove down there, but kept them on my cellphone figuring we would get a good laugh when I told them I was still on the phone. I walk in & see the cordless phone handset sitting face down on the counter. A young woman with glasses and tatoos is behind the counter explaining something on the menu to an obviously less experienced employee. After about 15 seconds, she pauses, looks at me but doesn't say anything. I'm still holding my cell to my head & say with a smile "That's me on the other end of the phone, I've been on hold for 25 minutes". She says nothing, turns the handset up to make sure there is a call on it, sets it back down & goes back to her discussion with the other employee. Now I say "So should I hang up now?" Again no words and this time not even a glance, she just grabs the handset, hangs up and keeps talking to the other woman. When she is done, she pulls out an order pad, doesn't even look up and says "So you want an order to go". I reply "That's it, you are going to start with that, you aren't even going to say sorry we forgot you were on the phone" She looks at me and says "I'm not the one who answered the phone" Needless to say I said I couldn't believe her reply & I left. Is this just bad training at this restaurant or is this pretty much how poorly younger people act these days? I made pizza nearly 30 years ago & I know of no one I worked with who would have handled this so poorly.
