Restaurant Description

Completely redesigned in 2009, Havana's Restaurant opened in early March. Cuban-inspired décor accents this striking dining room, which is adjoined by an outdoor deck with a scenic view of downtown Carolina Beach. A tasty Salmon Florentine stuffed with creamed spinach, feta cheese & topped with a lemon caper sauce tops the list of "local favorites", while the kitchen grills up terrific steaks and the Carolina's freshest fish on an open flame. The Rusted Grouper rolled in crushed cashew and sesame seeds; seared & baked comes highly recommended. What's more, beginning in the Spring, Havana's Fresh Island Seafood restaurant will host weekly live acoustic music to entertain guests as they dine.

One of the worst wine lists I have ever seen. Reads like a grocery store shelf.

The food tasted excellent. I ordered tuna wrapped with applewood bacon. I had my choice of ONE side, in this case, red skin mashers. The salad cost extra. Suffice it to say, it is pricey. Plan on buying your way through appetizers, salads, deserts, to get a sense of fullness here. And plan on opening your wallet wide. The food was excellent though.

It was nice to walk into a clean and nice looking restaurant but the tables were too close together and there were plants in inconvenience places. The serving staff kept walking into them and having to move them aside to get past. The service was great, very attentive. The food was average. Half of our party didn't eat most of their food because it was terrible. I will not be going back. It looks good but doesn't taste good.

A lovely place in a restored old beach cottage in the National Historical Registry. The food is excellent, and the owners are very caring. The menu is not elaborate, primarily seafood, but the preparation is great and the presentation is tops.A good touch of class.
