Although it isn't saying much, the Grotto is by far one of the better restaurants in Crescent City. It doesn't have the best food in Crescent City, but it is well above average. We normally take our out-of-town company to the Grotto for the overall ambience
Horrible! 70 bucks for 4 people and the veggies that came with the meal were the previously frozen and then overcooked kind. My husband did not receive butter for his potato. The menu has lame combos and not enough variety. When I am on the NorCal coast i would think i could get some fried clams for my kids, but not here. After waiting forever for our soup and salad our server said he would be right back with our bread. that would seem to mean about 10 minutes while we watch him service other tables at least twice in that time. I could go on but lets just say they sucked.
This place has awesome service, food, prices, and a great family atmosphere. I have eaten everything that this restaurant serves, and I have loved everything. They also have the best guacamole in the world!
This place has been around for a long time and always is wonderful. Consistent, tasty and a weekly indulgence. The verde sauce is amazing. Everything tastes like mama made it, because she did! Love it!
Although we eat at the Apple Peddler pretty often, it is really only a step above Denny's restaurant. I think one reason I say the Apple Peddler is better than Denny's is because of the employees, who I believe are friendlier at the Apple Peddler.
Although there are many Mexican restaurants in and around Crescent City, we like La Fiesta the best. You can get mix and match foods and they will make it the way you like. Not much in the way of ambience, but the owners are really friendly.
There are to many Asian restaurants in and around Crescent City, but I'd say Wing Wah's is by far the best Chinese restaurant in the area. The owners are friendly and you can order food to go.
