My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary at the Hamlet. We were so impressed that we decided to go back on our anniversary every year thereafter. We have rarely missed in our 27 years together, despite the fact that we have not lived in Illinois since 1982. At one point in our marriage we had to drive 250 miles to get to the Hamlet. - Throughout those 27 years it has always been worth it. We are amazed that the quality of food preparation and service has remained consistently excellent. Not once have we ever been disappointed. Try the rack of lamb - it's wonderful!
