I've been to the gas lantern twice, the first time was for lunch shortly after they opened. The food was good, but the service was VERY slow. 2 1/2 hours. The second visit was for dinner, the food was marginal, and the service was very poor. I lived in Italy for 3 years so I do have something to compare their food to. I won't be returning to the gas lantern in the future.

I've dined here 3 times. Every time I get pasta, there's enough water in it to take a swim. Not to mention, a couple of times the food had not too much flavor.

Wonderful food, exciting nightly features, attentive staff, great music!
Atmosphere, service and food were excellent!
The veal florence was not as tender as it could have been but everything else proved wonderful.

My boyfriend took me here for a romantic dinner and we had a wonderful time. My mother is a wonderful cook and I've been spoiled my entire life, but their pasta is by far the best I've ever had! I highly recommend this place if you're in the mood for a fantastic meal- and don't skip the salad, it's homemade and to die for!

This is the best local place in Clarksville. The italian is top notch, which includes HOMEMADE pasta. Much better than the italian chains, and has a very upscale atmosphere.

Wonderful atmosphere. Good Food. Definitely a place you want to take your wife/girlfriend to. They need a bigger sign out front, as its hard to find. I recommend it though.
