Both dining rooms offer sit-down lunch service, featuring home-made soups, freshly prepared salads, sandwiches and wraps, plus a large selection of dessert specialties. Our chicken salad and tortilla soup have become the restaurants signature lunch items.
The business was purchased by chef Sarah Labensky in April of 2006. Chef Sarah added a gourmet retail shop to the Front Door, then completely redecorated the Back Door dining room and began serving dinner with an Italian Mediterranean flair (and an extensive wine list!) in September of 2006.
The building itself has a storied history as a department store, funeral home and juke joint. It even hosts a friendly poltergeist, whom the staff refers to as George.
