This Omaha landmark recently (8/08) hired a new chef who is experienced in classical cuisine and understands French cooking like only a native Frenchman. Look for great things out of this restaurant's kitchen as well as upgrades in service standards and overall ambiance. This restaurant will set the standard in French cuisine and service in Omaha for now.

I have dined at this restaurant for many years and the difference since they hired the new chef is night and day. The sauces are so good that you almost want to cry. I can't say enough good things about the food now.

As regulars at the CWS we were always impressed with the restaurants in downtown Omaha. But the last couple of years have left us wondering what has happened? Service has been very average as has the food. This restaurant in particuliar somehow manages to overpromise and undeliver year after year. I assume that it stays in business due to its downtown location. A couple of years ago we started staying in west Omaha upon the suggestion of friends and have found the restaurants and service to be far better than downtown. As for the CWS staying in Omaha.... FIVE STARS!

We went not long ago with out of town family friends. The place was empty inside and there were about 6 tables outside with people. We asked to be seated outside and got a dirty set of tables and the worse service ever. Staff seemed overwhelmed an ...
