My extended family has been going to Freda's since it opened 20 or so years ago. I can honestly say that we have never experienced anything like the reviewer from November 23rd did. We have always been pleased with the food and the service. My kids have grown up going to Freda's. Steve & Kathy, the owners and their staff have always made our family feel welcome & special. Whenever we try somewhere new, we always end up saying, we should have gone to Freda's. The quality of the food is consistent and it is reasonably priced, plus the staff is accommodating if you have special dietary concerns. Freda's is a family restaurant where everyone knows your name. It's a great place to run into your family, friends and neighbors from West Bridgewater.

The food is not bad but it is definetly not a steak place. Service was about average but the last time we dined in we encountered drunk patrons at the bar. Later when using the mens room one of which was urinating in the sink rather than waiting for a free urinal. The restaurant is right on the brockton line and I think some of the locals are a bit rough around the edges. I love the pizza. Now we only order take out and would never bring our kids.

I started going to Freda's about 3 years ago, as just a place to go for a dinner on Friday night....until it became an every week thing. I The "food is exceptional" especially the prime rib or Scallop Marsella has superb flavor, don't forget the appetizer Mussel's Bianco...your taste buds will back flip
Going there every week I became freindly with the owners Steve and Kathy and the wait staff. The wait staff makes every bit of your dining experience enjoyable ...even when the place is packed with people, they always have a smile on ther face. Sue, Janelle, Michelle, or the bartender Robin etc.....they remember you and your not just another face coming through the door.
If you have a chance to get out, defiantely try this one of a kind hot spot.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The first time I came here I was sat and served instantly. Everytime I have come back to this restaurant I have had the same experience. The food is excellent and well prepared by the chefs. You can tell that the waitress'know exactly what they are doing and will go to extreme lengths to satisfy their customers. It has a great friendly atmosphere with an excellent menu and bar. The bartenders always delieve the drinks quickly and they taste delicious. The only time I've ever had to wait was on a weekend night, which is completely understandable. You always see the same people there which is nice because it shows that people always come back and feel very comfortable there. The owners, Steve and Kathy, are very friendly and welcoming and know exactly how to run a good, smooth business. They have a very good kids menu and my children always have fun there. I recommed going there to all of my friend and they all come back with the same remarks. This is truly a great family business.

Steve and Kathy (Owners) very nice couple, make you feel welcome and always remember your name,
barteners, make a great cocktail, friendly, attentive, know your drink when you come in to the bar area. Waiter staff always friendy, courteous, attentive,
food is 90% of the time excellent, if not pleased with your meal willing to resolve the problem.
Always seems to be nice friendly crowd of people,
a lot of regulars you recognize each time you go, sort of a townie place I guess you could say, very neat and clean, restrooms are clean/neat.
We never have run into any incidents and we go there quite often (week-nights and wk-ends) offer great specials for different (slow)week-nights if you're looking to get out and not spend a lot of money for supper during the week-nights.
We meet up with our family and friends there quite often also.
All and All we are very happy with Freda's and we are going there this Evening for dinner.
Give it a try I don't think you will be disappointed, wk-ends there is usually a wait, as the owner Kathy says (it may be a 2 cocktail wait) We never seem to mind the wait.
