A diner from Estacada, OR
Oct 3, 2010
I recently called in an order to go, to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, which we were doing at home. My boyfriend's father went to pick up the food, and when he got there, they told him that they didn't have any containers to put our food in. He was understandably upset at this since we had called and placed the order 20 minutes beforehand, and they had given us the okay. He asked them why they wouldn't make any effort to please and take care of their customers, and there was no response from the employee handling the transaction. Luckily, he had a plastic container in his truck, which held the fondu that we had ordered. When dining in the restaurant, customers receive an ample portion, but they put about 2oz worth of fondu in our makeshift to-go container (a single scoop out of the second smallest standard ladle in commercial restaurants). I had ordered a Philly with everything, and they forgot the peppers and the sauce, simply putting meat, WAY too much cheese, and a few onions. Our fries were cold and limp, still a pale white. It seemed as though someone had placed them in the deep fryer (which was obviously not hot enough) to get them saturated with oil and then pulled them out right away. I am a cook myself, and I know what standards are exceptable and not. Knowing full well what it is like to be in the food industry, I sent a tip along, thinking it would be well worth it. I was SO mad and SO disappointed with the quality of the food and the blatant disregard for customer service, that I all but went down there myself, that night, to ask for my tip back. This was the WORST meal I have ever paid for. As new residents of Estacada, we will NOT be returning to this restaurant and will NOT recommend it to ANYONE. Stay away if you value your dollar and a good dining experience!!!
