I liked going there, and hope he gets well
soon, the salad bar was ok, I just wish it looked better or had more on it,
the food in general was fine.

This is the best homecooked food ever! I'm so glad the cooks are back. The restaurant is being renovated and it looks 100% better. I recommend the chicken n dressing, mac n cheese, brussel sprouts and jalapeno cornbread. Thats to start with! then finish off with coffee and chocolate cobbler. mmmmm mmmmm good!

GREAT COUNTRY COOKING AT A FAIR PRICE. HADNT TRIED THE STEAKS YET BUT EVERYTHING ELSE ME & MY WIFE HAVE TRIED IS SUPER.

Evans was truly a pleasant experience for me and my family. The food is better than ever and the new owners are really trying to spruce the place up. I had the chicken and dressing which was so good! I will be coming back there very soon and I recommend it to everyone who reads this.

We are regulars of Evan's steak house, by regulars, I mean we go a least 6 to 7 times a year. But it was just recently, when we took out of town guest that we learned Mr. Evan's is ill. We were told he has cancer. So, if in the last year. You saw a difference in the service, you might just want to cut the man some slack. He developed the art of cooking a steak to perfection. And I for one, hope and pray for the best outcome for him. He has fed a lot of our out of town vistors for us and left them smiling and in disbelief that they could really cut a steak with a plastic fork and knife.

There are new owners at Evans!!!! This place is awesome again> The old cooks are back (Sandra and Lanee)and the food is awesome once agian. I am so glad this restaurant is back and better than ever. I am going tomorrow to have some chicken and dressing and banana pudding!!! I LOVE THIS PLACE!

I ate at Evans last week and it was so good. Much better than the last time I ate there. I think a new guy is running it and everything has improved a lot. It was cute to the little girl working at the register too! I will come back soon! Oh yeah the chocolate cobbler is so good!

My experience at Evans was wonderful! All the food was great and the service was even better now that they have a new guy working there. Much more pleasant with him working there. I will be back soon and tell my friends how good it is! I really enjoyed myself.

My experience at Evans was awesome! The food was out of this world, the service was great everything about it was fantastic. I will definitely be returning with my family soon and I will tell everyone how good it really was.

The best restaurant in Horn Lake, Mississippi, and probably all of DeSoto County. I eat here every chance I get.

My family and I were regulars at this restraurant and at one time I highly recommended this place to alot of people until our last visit. Mr Evan was really rude to me and publically humiliated me in front of his other guests by telling me not to give my 1-yr old crackers because he drops them on his floor and it was wasting his product and if I did give him crackers to clean up after him. I was so shocked the only thing I could get out was that he does eat them, we don't give them to him for play and we give them to him one at a time, unfortunately I apologized. But he did it in an accusing way by saying I know it was you, if I looked puzzled I was just shocked about the whole thing because I always considered us pleasant guests, not to mention the money we have spent in there, we went quite frequently and were always friendly to him. At first I was embarassed, then I became upset at his manner in the way he handled it, he made me feel like I was a bad customer, after we left I became so sad I cried on my way home because I thought he liked my family and I, and I have recommended him to alot of people. It was an aweful experience and I do not plan on going back and its ashame because we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food, not to mention his prices but I no longer feel welcome as well as my children who are well behaved, my son is only 1 year old he didn't mean any harm, we do make an effort for him not to make a mess but sometimes he does even at home and we do try to teach him. I'm just really unhappy that this has happened, it really makes me sad!

Good food, good steaks, good gumbo. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is odd but endearing. Recommended.

This is, bar none, the best steak in Memphis at any price point. What makes the experience FANTASTIC is the fact that you get a better steak than you do at Butcher Block, Outback, Folks Folly, Texas Roadhouse etc., but you pay less than half of what you would pay at those places! And, to be honest, I would pay a much higher price for these steaks - they're fantastic!

Great place for meals,you get your dollars worth here. Food and service can't be beat in the Horn Lake Area.Mr. Galvin is a pleasure to deal with. I can enjoy eating here 6 days a week
