After settling in Milford, formerly known as Monson, in 1747, Elisha Towne built his family homestead in 1770. The historic home was later purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Roger Sullivan, who restored it to its beautiful, original state.
With all the charm of a historic New England home, the house Elisha built was transformed into Elisha's Restaurant in 1976 by Norman and Linda Fortier. The Fortier family served great American fare into the next century, until the restaurant was purchased by Alex and Kelly LoVerme on January 26, 2004.
Owning a restaurant had been Alex's longtime dream, and having grown up in this area, the LoVermes are even more excited to provide area patrons with affordable, quality meals in a family setting.
