Tucked away from the hustle and bustle of downtown and the newly expanding area of South 3rd Street, is authentic Mexican cuisine at its best--El Sol Mexican Restaurant. With a focus on dishes that take full advantage of the freshest ingredients, owners Juan and Lisa Garcia specialize in authentic food from Juan's home in the Guadalajara region of Jalisco, Mexico. Items such as Ceviche, Spicy Camarones a la Diabla, and Camarones al Mojo de Ajo, are a few of the favorites (of the owners and guests), as well as the guacamole which is made fresh twice a day.

The food is excellent, absolutely delicious. The service is horrible! They have belly dancers on Saturday nights which is really neat to watch.

The food is absolutely delicious, the staff are very friendly and the restaurant is clean. It's not in the best neighborhood, but it's definitely worth visiting.

I work nearby and I started going here for lunch. You can't beat the price and the ammount of food you get and the atmosphere is great. It is a great place to go and eat and it won't hurt your wallet.
