Windsor Restaurant Guide

El Alazan is owned and operated by Pedro,Heriberto and Jesus. These three partners, along with numerous family members opened the restaurant in August 2009 in the Water Valley neighborhood of Windsor, Colorado.

It all started in the Spring 2009 when the two partners were on a road trip. Pedro and Jesus were driving to Torrington, WY from Swainsboro, GA to visit a brother there. On the return trip they stopped in Windsor and simply fell in love with the town, the area and the people. They also saw that the property in the shopping center near Water Valley would make an excellent Mexican restaurant. The decision was made almost instantly and when they got back home, they packed up the family and moved out West in the spirit of Horace Greeley ("Go West young man")

Pedro brings 25 years of restaurant experience from Augusta, GA as well as from San Jose de la Paz Jalisco, Mexico. Jesus brings to the table over 35 years of experience also from their restaurant in Augusta, GA and from DeGollado, Jalisco, Mexico.

The furniture and decorations were shipped from Guadalaraja and will brighten up any occasion. The service staff will make you feel at home and part of the family.

Since the opening, this family run restaurant has been very successful and offers diverse and exciting lunch and dinner selections. This is possibly the best Mexican restaurant in Northern Colorado! It certainly has a wonderful décor, excellent service and outstanding Margaritas.
