Review:
I had great hopes for this restaurant seeing that is was recommended by an Island associate. I heard about this place on a Saturday evening, on my way there I was reminded of an earlier appointment. Disappointed nonetheless there was always the next day. On Sunday I get up bright and early in the morning head out to this restaurant only to find out that it was closed on Sunday. Once again disappointed however being on vacation for the week, tomorrow would be worth the wait. Monday is here, it's a great day and I'm traveling to GA. On the way I will stop by the restaurant pick up some "bus-sup-shots" which would bring pleasure to my travels. I called and found out 1. They did not have "bus-sup-shots" this day, its ok they are other items on the menu. I placed two orders and heading out to pick them up. Upon my arrival I had to wait 15 more minute...no problem. I get my food, get into my car and drive away. With great anticipation I await my first bite...BTW the order was peppered Steak with rice and peas vegetables and banana. Let's say if I was a Diabetic, someone suffering from high blood pressure and a vegetarian this place would be the perfect spot. With every bite, I cursed the shoes and hands of those you had anything to do with the throwing together of this plate. The Food was "AWFUL!!!!!!" every thing tasted like water...the rice tasted like water, the peas tasted like water and the vegetables tasted like water. As for the steak tasted like some kind of veggie substitute; it didn't taste like steak AT ALL!!!!!!!! I was more than disappointed; I was annoyed, embarrassed, shocked, chagrined and upset I wasted money on this establishment. I was raised in Brooklyn NY and moved to Boston in which I had the joy of tasting fine Caribbean cuisine both from restaurants and at the tables of friends and family. This, my friend was worst than nursing home food. For now I will never eat at this place again. For anyone reading this review, if you're looking for Caribbean cuisine please find other alternative. My family of 6 and friends have suffered greatly from this experience???At this time please avoid any items consisting of fish, steak and rice and peas.

Suggestions:
Find a real cook...someone who has cooked before and someone who has an Island touch. I believe owner and the people working in the restaurant are wonderful people and they have a great idea by bringing variety into the community. I would love for this establishment to thrive and do well however; "Doctor's Cove" needs a new cook or if the cook was out that day, they should close there door and not allow this kind of Evil out.
