I have had one of the worst dining experiences of my life today. The man at the order counter at Demetri's Greek Cusina in Bend OR, was extremely rude right off the bat. Then when our food was finally ready, my order was wrong. He admitted that he had messed up yet he did not apologize or offer to fix it. He Said" Just try it." I had ordered chicken for a specific reason. That reason is that I don't eat lamb. I will not eat lamb. So he hands me a plate of food, with tomatoes, when I had asked for no tomatoes, that has lamb instead of chicken as the protien and looks at me like I have no right to question him or to order food for myself. Now, I work in customer service, so I know how to treat a customer, but I also deserve to be treated with respect, so do my family members. So when I returned to the table, with no help from the man and no solution offered I told my sister what he had said. SHe went up and asked if I could get some lettuce, cucumbers and olivesand I would just make myself a veggie gyro instead, which are on the menu for the Item I thought I ordered, and he said that I could if I paid him more money, and that I didn't order that and that he did not have to fix anything. His next comment was "Look I have orders coming out of my a@@ and I don't have time for this. I will deal with you later." I came back up with my plate of food and said I did not want this it was not what I ordered and I wanted a refund. He would not give me a refund and looked at me with disgust like he could not believe that I had the audacity to not just eat what he gave me to eat. The female cooking the food then came out asked what the problem was and asked me "Do you want chicken?" "Yes!!! I want chicken." and then finally, chicken I got. Still the food was bad, over sauced with out many of the options listed on the menu and there were no apologies at all. So if you don't mind being treated like dirt, being given what ever food the man feels like giving you despite your personal prefrences, and being cussed at for asking for a little service then Demetri's is the place for you.
