Midland Restaurant Guide

I have to say that the service leaves a lot to be desired. I've visited and also ordered take-out from this location. The waiters/Waitresses are very slow with everything! It was after lunch rush when I called in an order, the phone rang 8 times and the person answering could not answer my questions with regard to pricing, etc. We've eaten here severals times and the food is great! I think the Management for this resturants needs some review. Poor management = poor staff!

Stopped by Sunday and order a simple soup and baked potato. One potatowas fine and the other potato was luke warm and unedible. The waitress blamed the kitchen and told us twice that it was taken off the bill. When we checked the bill, it was still on it. Slow service for a night that wasn't that busy. ( But the bread was very good )

I go there often, and love the place. Good food and lots of fun. I would tell everybody to try it.

I'm new to the area and have eaten at Damon's several times. I have always gotten good, friendly service, even on weekends. The food was excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. The non-smoking area and the smoking area with the big screens were both great! I'm one of those people that get hot very easily and I did not have the problem that another reviewer mentioned about it being too hot in the restaurant. I've tried it in summer and fall and enjoyed the restaurant and food each time I've been. This is a must visit restaurant in Midland!

I have been to 3 other Damons before, so I know that this restaurant is not indicative of the service you would normally receive at this chain.

Lets first start with the temperature of the restaurant, everyone was sweating. The hostess did us a “favor” by putting us in the coolest room, though that meant that we were not able to see the big screen TVs or trivia.

Then, the our waiter took our drink order and disappeared for 20 minutes. Upon returning took our appetizer and meal orders. Then he disappeared for 50 minutes [as this was a work dinner the first 40 minutes everyone was very polite]. The next we saw of our waiter he was carrying our appetizers and entrees at the same time out to the table… When asked about the delay he explained when the Kitchen manager was not in this always happens and that we actually got the food pretty fast (Did I mention this waiter had a name tag indicated he was a trainer for new hires?)…BELIEVE ME, there is more but I’m done wasting my time on the Eastman Road Damons.

In conclusion, BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD!
