I would like to start this review off by saying that the food here is great! I have been eating at this restaurant for over 2 years and have NEVER had a bad experience, until now. The cooks are quick! The atmosphere is fun and inviting! If it wasn't for the heinous cashier, I would give it an easy 4 stars.
Unfortunately, the customer service I just experienced is so absolutely BELOW sub par that I will NEVER again step foot in this restaurant! That is, unless the woman who worked the register tonight (3/21/2011) is no longer working there. She has absolutely no business working with the general public to begin with. I am treated better at the DMV.
The cashier argued with me when I politely asked to have the sides of an item rolled into the tortilla instead of put on the side of the dish. She said that is NEVER done with the pulled beef, and they can't do it, its only with the carne asada. I informed her that I have been eating here for a few years now, and I always get it that way. She continued to argued with me for another minute or so and more or less told me I don't know what I'm talking about. Then finally told me "FINE" it could be done, but she would charge me $.69 extra per side. Its not about the money, and I wouldn't have minded paying extra because I enjoy it so much! I was just so absolutely appalled by her poor attitude that I walked out.
I'm upset because this is my favorite local Mexican restaurant, but until that woman is fired, my family and I will have to find another place to eat. It's only a matter of time, if the owner knows anything about running a business, because that woman's attitude problem does nothing but loose loyal customers! And from reading some other reviews of this restaurant, it appears that we are not the only ones that have had trouble with her.
