I absolutely love the butternut squash raviloi. The cesear salad is also excellent. Rustic atmosphere makes everyone comfortable.

Tucked away in the northern MN back woods is a wonderful secret that my husband and I had the pleasure of enjoying last night (2/14/08). The atmosphere is rustic and even a bit funky, the wood fired brick oven is fun to observe and the food... The food! It was so wonderful. From the standby Spinach Artichoke Dip, Tomato Cream Cheese Soup, Pasta Fagoli, Prime Rib (roasted in the brick oven) Shrimp with Champagne cream sauce over pasta to the house coffee we had with lavender scented chocolate truffle bon bons served with slices of fresh strawberries. It was all sublime. Did I forget the rolls, the rolls could be a meal in themselves and I have to find out if they sell them a la carte. They were flavorful, crusty, decadent portions of the Staff of Life, beyond wonderful. The staff was informative, friendly and right on top with service and the prices were very reasonable. Being not only Valentine's Day but coincidently our 15th anniversary, it was a wonderful surprise and finishing touch that the ladies received a long stemmed rose on departure. We most definitely will not only return but spread the word about this totally unpretentious eatery with the marvelous food.
