This was the worst dining experience we ever had. The food was cold and bland. The service was aweful. We had to get up and get our own water and were never offered a secon round of drinks. We saw our server 3 times, to take our order, to bring our order and to give us the bill. The worst part was we were one of two tables at the time. I will never go back.

First of all, I'm a fair reviewer. I took my father to dinner here on Sunday November 14th at 6PM. I read the other reviews of this place and thought we would try it. Other reviews were really horrible. We pulled into this place and there was NO other cars. Kinda scary. Went in and ordered at 6:15. We didn't get our salads until 7PM. Our food came at 7:35. We were the only people in the place. I ordered a pasta and shrimp and scallops dinner. Very little pasta shrimp or scallops. Full of onions, peppers and "fillers". Shrimp scampy was full of shells. Chicken Parm was burned. Check was $125 for 6 of us, two were children. This place should consider closing. Upsetting because I read that the owner was the chef. Apparently the chef doesn't work there anymore. YUCK. AVOID THIS PLACE. There are much better italian restaurants in the area. Go to Sebastianios, Anthony's or even Austins.

A good place in Birdsboro to have a good meal at a reasonable price. Great wings at a great price and they don't skimp on the dips and veggies to go along with them. The Parmesan Peppercorn are great! They also have a great selections of sandwiche ...

Our party of four was very disappointed with our dinner entrees. The MahiMahi portion was very small, dry, and not tasteful, the stuffed flounder with crab meat was very dry, the chicken franchaise - lemon overwhelming and chicken tasteless. The baked potatoes were apparently held over and reheated. Side selections were very limited and medley vegetables were frozen. I suggest you offer fresh vegetables. The broiled scallops were the best choice of the evening. The local advertisements lead us to believe it would be fine cuisine dining. We don't expect to come back -- you need to hire a better chef.

Recently I met with some friends for dinner and had a great time. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere is great in the restaurant. I had the rack of lamb and loved it. My friends had crabcakes and veal marsala and also enjoyed them. I will be back with some family the next time.

We gave the restaurant a second chance and it did not live up to our expectations, this time the food was better but the service was worse. The medium steak was closer to medium well, the cocktail was watered down and the service was poor. It took a long time for the meal to be served and there was never any comment made by the server or even an explanation as to what was taking so long. I can understand that things get delayed on occasion, but I'd like someone to take a moment to acknowledge us.
We won't come back.

My husband and I enjoyed our Dinner at Christine's. I had crab cake and the French Onion Soup. Both were prepared excellently. The crab-cake was not stuffed with fillers, but rather it was actual crab. My husband truly enjoyed the veal, which he was able to cut with a butterknife. We have decided that this will be a restaurant we will enjoy driving to and eating at. The service was pleasant and efficient and we were treated very well. We drove from Bernville to Christine's (we had made reservations earlier in the week). The drive took only about 18 minutes. We will be bringing family members from out of town the next time we go to Christine's

Where do I begin? I have never written a restaurant review but feel compelled to share my food experience because it was so horrible. I am going to make an effort to contact the restaurant owner so that they can rectify or maybe clarify as to why it was so bad.
1) NOT FOREMOST- The House Dressing was so thick with mayonaise that you could not pour it but only scoop it. IT was virtually mayonaise.
2) The only vegetable they offer is a frozen vegetable medley. It is August and there are fresh vegetables everywhere. Not only were they obviously frozen but they were limp and lacked flavor.
3) The Shrimp Scampi had a mix of some unidentifiable foods that looked like meat of some sort. I thought Shrimp Scampi was garlic, shrimp, a little parmesan cheese, olive oil, maybe some lemon, butter and salt & pepper? I asked the server if the dish had any meat products in it in addition to the shrimp and me being a person who does not eat meat had stomach issues for the rest of the night and the next morning and day. I thought it said linguine on the menu but I could be mistaken but I was definitely spaghetti.
4) The stuffed mushrooms were okay but the mushrooms were not fully cooked almost spongy- maybe zapped in the microwave.
5) THE BEER SPECIAL THAT THE SERVER ENCOURAGED WAS EXPIRED BEER AS NOTED ON THE BOTTLE not by the server)BY 3 MONTHS. The beer was still not that cheap $3.50 a bottle for expired beer.
6) The meatballs although I did not taste them per my husband were not homemade meatballs- probably frozen because they were tasteless.
7) If you are a vegetarian, you are out of luck- There is not one dish on the menu that offers a dish without meat or seafood.
8)The atmosphere has not changed in years- fake plants, rippled pergo flooring that is unsafe to walk on, etc. The place has potential but it needs a makeover. They want it to be fine dining but it just isnt with the quality of food and the lack of atmosphere.
10) My husband ordered the TOUCH OF ITALY- I did not eat it but I must preface this quite frankly - my husband eats anything- omnivore understates his eating habits. He said it was horrible
ON the Up side- they hand you heated towels to wash your hands before your meal. They are very friendly. The rolls were FRESH AND TASTY.

There is a reason that this restaurant is the only one around and it has never really been successful- hopefully the owners take a chance and look at what folks want to eat rather than what they want to serve and perhaps get a chef in there that fully understands the mechanics of cooking. This location has the possibility of flourishing- My husband and I would eat there every week if they offered fresh current local fare, that includes fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, fish etc. There are so many "C" grade restaurants in Berks County- when are we going to find a resturant owner who knows what they are doing. My suggestion dress the servers down- why are they wearing black tights in AUGUST? A wee bit old fashioned if you ask me- start with a stellar brew pub menu, a fabulous SUNDAY BRUNCH MENU, GIVE LOCAL BREWERIES SOME SPACE AT THE BAR, SUPPORT LOCAL FARMS include beef, cheese, veggies everything and DO NOT EVER GIVE FOLKS FROZEN VEGGIES IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER!

My family and i went to Christine's Creekside Inn for my dads birthday. The northern italian cuisine is excellent and the veal marsala is the best i have ever had. It was so good we are deffinitely going to return again. O and the chefs that work there are really cute guys especially the young one.

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner at Christines in February. The flounder stuffed with crabmeat and the steak were both delicious. Although they did not yet have their liquor license, we were offered complimentary glasses of wine, which I thought was nice. We ate in the large dining room which has a nice, rustic feel with the big stone firelplace. They also have a smaller dining room. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at Christine's Creekside Inn.

Christine’s Creekside Inn (formerly The Old Mill Inn). This was a wonderful experience. The food is great! The staff was friendly and wonderful. The fair is Northern Italian and Seafood. The atmosphere is wonderful with candles and a fireplace. The setting is nice for couples or families.
