Dover Restaurant Guide

The family and I go to Chilis in Dover, NH 03820 at least once a week. 95% to 100% of the time everything from service to the meals have been great. Last night, 03/14/01 we again went to Chilis for dinner around 5:30pm. It was unusually slow, many table were available. The hostess sat us down very promptly. The next events took quite a while. We waiting over 10min for someone to recognize us. Our waitress, that I believe has been at this location for over (1) year was training a new gentleman. That's ok. Once we ordered our drinks, they came out promptly. We now waited for over 35 min for our meals to come out of the kitchen. For the Chicken Pita and Soup and Salad, seems like a long time to wait. After dinner they handed us the check, and we again waited over 10min for them to return and NO return. We now went to the Bar, and "nice bar" and they promptly made change for us in which we proceeded back to our table left the money and bill, and out we went.

Not too long ago, you use to have a Manager that used to come around and ask customers how everything was going, and the Manager would not have allowed such a wait.
