I'm a big fan of Chang's! Ever since I was born Chang's has been my all time favorite resturant. Growing up I loved watching them cook my food. So if you have kids this is a great place to get them easily entertained. Oh and the best thing is that they have complementary ice cream and fortune cookies. What else can you ask for? The food is GREAT! The staff members are very nice and attentive.

I have been a customer of Chang's since 1991 when they were in their old building. We have since moved ten hours away and it is still our favorite restauraunt. Whenever we come to Oregon we make a point to eat at Changs. The food is great, healthy and the staff are so friendly. I just wish there was one here in Idaho!

The great pastrami sandwich was the size of my 2 fingers and cost almost $5. HUGE waste of $$. Maybe if they didn't spend so much $$ on advertising to get you in the place they could give you a better value when you did come.

I frequent China Jade quite often and I'm always greatly satisfied. Their pork fried rice cannot be beaten and there General Tso's is one of the best in the area. Very prompt service and you don't feel rushed. It's small and quaint and you 'll never ...

The food is awesome and the staff is very friendly. They have the best happy hour with sushi, drinks and appetizers 1/2 off. We love going for a nice dinner out or a late lunch.

Been going here for two months now, breakfast on weekends, lunch during the week. Great staff, service is good, and most menu items I've tried are very good. Chili needs work (chili-burger however, and fresh-cooked beef items (steak, burgers, etc.) a ...

I feel bad mainly because the staff was very friendly and attentive, but i feel like i have to give the facts based on my knowledge of germs. Let me first say that i honestly did not like the ambiance of this place. It is overly crowded with tables and people and the envirement wasn't the nicest. The decor reminded me of a fast food joint with dirty carpets.
For those of you who don't know, this is a Mongolian/salad bar style buffet. You take a bowl and fill it up with your choices of meat, shrimp, chicken etc and different types of vegitables. Then you stand in line until its your turn to hand it over to the cook. They take your bowl and dump the contents onto the a huge round grill. They swiftly cook up your meal and put it onto another plate. Its all you can eat, which is nice and the food is pretty good and healthy but, and this is a huge but, i find that the buffet screams health hazard. I'm sure that there are at least a hundred people touching all the serving utensils at the buffet all day. In the short time we were there , there was at least 20 people in line and the restaurant was packed full. We all know that flu season is here and i think that this just promotes the epidemic. As a matter of fact, there were a few sick people in the restaurant wich made my husband an i loose our appetite rather quickly. This problem can easily be kept at bay by simply putting a box of plastic gloves at the beginning of the line before you can grab a bowl to start serving your self. You know, the kind the cafeteria ladies use. I'd also clean up the waitress's service station in the middle of the restaurant. The floor was filthy and it could stand a good scrubbing.
Another thing the restaraunt owners can consider is installing another grill area and a better ventilation system. My husband and i felt the lines were a bit too long. I must add, to be fair, that the cooks were awesome and working as fast as they safetly could to make the line move along. Again, the waitresses were sweet and always ready to refill your sodas or remove your used dishes. They were great with letting you know that they were there to meet your needs. After considering the above my husband and i would rate this place a 2 out of 4 stars. We will not be going back even though the staff was nice and the food was ok. Sorry

Even if you are on a diet,Changs is a wonderful dining experience. Children love to make their own creations. They decide. Very children friendly. The wait staff are at your beck and call,, even when it is busy. I have never had a bad experience. The wok cooks even cook your meat to order. Great for larger groups only if you call ahead for tables, but for your family easy seating.. Guarenteed to leave satisfied.. even for LOW CARB DINNERS

One of the better mongolian grills in the area, Chang's definitly confirms this with a typically crowded dining room.

The cuisine is good - the food is selected from a bar by the customer into a bowl, that is then "wok'd" by one of the fine Chang's chefs in typical mongolian grill fashion. Chang's however seems to do a better job than most when it comes to maintaining the freshness of the items in the bar and general cleanliness of the restaurant - even though sometimes large parties with children tend to get more dinner on the floor than they do in their bellies.

My personal experience with the staff has never been negative, even though they can sometimes be a little slow when the house is crowded. I'm an understanding person in these situations. Other than that, the aire is pleasant and courteous.

I would definitely recommend Chang's to anyone looking for a better-than-standard mongolian grill.
