On 10/14/07, we found the food to be delicious and well-prepared, but the service was atrocious. We were basically forgotten, and had to ask other waitstaff and even the hostess to assist us. As we left, I informed the manager of the poor service, but he seemed disinterested in correcting the problem, mumbling something about how it was an anomaly and that I should have brought it up earlier in the evening. He left me with the impression that no corrective action would be taken. I could forgive occasional poor service, but not poor service combined with a lackadaisical manager. From now on, we will avoid the Cattle Baron and seek other steak houses in Ruidoso.
