I visited this little restaurant back during the holiday's and was not impressed with ANYTHING there including the help nor the owner. It smells bad and the food is overrated to say the least. My son also accompanied me and he is 6 and they did not have a children's menu to speak of which was tacky. I thought this was supposed to be a family restaurant. I saw no one that really took any pride in their work or this place. I won't be going back or recommending it to any of my friends.

I love this place! I have been going for years and it is always a place that I like to take my grandchildren since they love the food and atmosphere (they are fascinated by the big TV). However, the last few times we went, I have found that it is no longer a place for my young grandchildren. We've always gone on Friday or Saturday night and the food and service has been WONDERFUL. However, last time we were there, one of the new employees (I assume she's an employee because every time we are there, she is there) was prancing around dressed inappropriately with a beer and cigarette in her hand. She was very loud and obnoxious and the smoke upset my 5-year-old grand baby's eyes. This woman's language was foul and she seemed to know several of the customers (I guess they are regulars) as she was telling crude and frankly, disgusting jokes all the while referring to her bedroom life. Had we not not just finished eating and were waiting on the check, I would have gotten up and left. I would have liked to think the owner, Freddie, was unaware of this, but after a little while this woman went and sat next to him in a booth in the back. So maybe she isn't an employee, but I will not be dining there again - with or without my kids. If you don't want your kids exposed to behavior you would see in a night club, then don't take them to Cascio's!

My waitress was wonderful, I believe her name was Jessica and Jordan. I have had her several times and she is the best! The food is spectacular and the atmosphere is nice, but I refuse to subject myself or my grand children to that kind of behavior. Such a shame.

OK, had to write a review once I saw the "locals get the best food" comment. What a hoot. This is a locally owned restaurant that is extrememly friendly to everyone. I enjoy it, my hairdresser enjoys it and my housekeeper enjoys it....and that is due to the nondiscriminatory service by owner and servers alike. The reviewer from Lexington, KY sounds like a pill to me and probably has a problem everywhere he/she goes! This is in a strip center that includes a gas station. But that gas station also has some great crawfish!

If you are looking for gourmet food that is different from the rest, go to Cascio's to experience a taste of excellence. Everything on the menu that I have eaten is out of this world and I have eaten just about everything. When I am in town, the only place I dine is at Cascio's for the best food in Louisiana!!

This restaurant is part of a gas station, so that tells you what sort of dining experieice you are in for. The service is slow to out of towners. The locals get full plates of fresh food. The out of towners get small portions of smelly pasta with sauces that are difficult to identify along with the seafood. There is no difference to this restaurant between fettucini and spaghetti. If you order a sandwich you will probably be safe. This place is terrible and expensive if you are not a local. Stay away....
