Atmosphere: Café On the Green Cafe on the Green was established in 1992. Located in Richter Park Golf Course, you'll be able to take in the view of fairways and greens from many seats here.
The restaurant's overall structure was influenced by European architecture. The establishment has a traditional and elegant Italian flare with a court room theme. The interior is accented by yellow tones, enhanced by oil paintings and flowers and plants, and the lighting is by the glow of candle flame. This is a white tablecloth restaurant, and the use of elegant fabrics compliments the overall look and feel.
The facility is spacious with high ceilings with seating for 260 people. It is luxurious and romantic and attracts a mature and classy clientele. Table talk is easy - this restaurant is quiet and subdued.
More Reasons to Go: Café on the Green is appropriate (if not ideal) for impressing clients, birthdays, anniversaries, other romantic evenings, groups and private parties. When weather permits, enjoy outdoor seating.

The restaurant is a little off the beaten path but well worth the ride! From the moment we walked in and saw the lovely dining room we were impressed and it just continued thru the EXCELLENT service, terrific food and pretty view of the golf course. It was an absolutely terrific evening. We would return any time our travels took us to this area. We have already recommended it to friends and will continue to do so. Don't miss an opportunity to dine at the Cafe if you're in the area - it's worth the trip!!!

“Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name…” is exactly the feeling I have when selecting my favorite place Café on the Green. I tend to frequent this restaurant on a regular basis, and only those establishments where the staff takes the time to remember the names and preferences of their frequent customers. I enjoy knowing the owner, the greeter, and the wait staff and always take the time to inquire about business, family, etc. They do the same and, for me, it creates an atmosphere of warmth and continuity that encourages me to come more often, stay longer, and bring good friends. It seems like a small thing, but in today’s hectic and sometimes faceless and spiritless dining environments, this simple kindness goes a very long way. Thank you Café on the Green

Very attentive couteous staff. We have been here for many special occasions over several years. Our 20th anniversary overall lovely evening. Service wonderful. It's not to quiet, and not to loud. The veiws are spectacular

My husband and I love to go to Cafe on the Green for a nice, quiet dinner by candlelight overlooking fabulous Richter Golf Course. The service is always exquisite and the food is delicious. It is cozy and romantic! Great for a night out for fine dining with your spouse or significant other or small groups. We have gone with a group of six and still the service, excellent!

Very Romantic, and intimate. The staff doesn’t rush you at all, and the wine list has extremely hard to get wines available at reasonable prices. Food superb. Banana's foster Flambéed was outstanding. This has to be the best restaurant overall in the Danbury and I never see this restaurant advertised. What a great find.

If you want great Italian food, courteous service, and a warm atmosphere where they light up the outside greens and fairways, you'll have to go elsewhere else than Cafe on the Green. The ambience and service were first rate. The food was amazing. Delectable dining, perfect service and again the most luscious Italian meals I have ever had the pleasure of tasting.
Save room for dessert, the tiramisu, and banana's foster flambéed tableside are scrumptious.
