I do not usually write reviews but I have to say I was sufficiently appalled enough to do so this time and needless to say, will never be going back to this so called Irish Pub.
Myself and my partner deicide to go there before going to a movie.
The first problem we encountered was with parking. We thought it was free but thought it a good idea to run inside before parking and check, thank god we did as we had to pay. (You can recover this from the bill)
When we finally got to the door, there was a line up, which we thought was a good sign indicating how busy it was, but we were fooled, this line was for us to have out picture scanned and our Identity checked before getting to the hostess for seating.
There were also several bouncer looking guys, which made it pretty scary.
Once inside there were very few people around and a few tables with abandoned food and drink.
As beautiful as the place was it had no pub ambience and was no where near as atmospheric as Cactus Club. it was pretty starkest.
The waitress we had was great at first, but when the food arrived it was cold and had to be returned to the kitchen. It took a while to get our drinks right too.
After that we never so much as once saw the server come back to our table and had to hunt her down to pay the bill.
What happened?? The old Finnegan rocked....it feels like someone replaced a diamond with cubic zirconium and not even a good copy.
We will never come back and have advised all our friends both in Abbey and Vancouver not to waste their time or hard earned money.
