I really do try to give this restaurant a chance once a year. It's always the same result though. Bad coffee, food that is just edible and lacks anything positive to write about. Anybody who eats there and writes a positive review has very bad taste in food. Sorry Brownies, time for a change.

I had breakfast at this restaurant last week and had two large cockroaches (or "waterbugs" as the waitress who smashed them on my table called them) join me. When the first one appeared on the wall, I subtly asked the waitress as she was passing by "what is that?" so as not to draw attention to the fact that there was a cockroach crawling up the wall from my table. She ignored me and went to take another table's order. "Waterbug" she replied when she came back and smashed it in a napkin. A minute later I called to her "do you have any more napkins?" as there was another little fella heading for my plate. "Splat!" she got it before it reached my food, and was nice enough to pick up the check for my half order of biscuits and gravy. While I finished my meal, she began filling salt and pepper shakers and sugar trays on my table, as if hinting that is was time for me to go. I didn't have any cash on me, and didn't want to run my credit card for a two dollar tip (especially in light of the circumstances), so I thanked her for buying me breakfast and left. Believe it or not, I went back today for lunch. The same waitress made a point of humiliating me in front of the whole restaurant by proclaiming loudly "YOU DIDN'T LEAVE ME A TIP! I WAS NICE ENOUGH TO PICK UP YOUR CHECK BECAUSE OF A COUPLE CRITTERS AND YOU DIDN'T EVEN LEAVE ME A TIP!" I replied that "critters," plural, was the key, and reminded her that I did thank her for buying me breakfast. "DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I MAKE AN HOUR!?" she blared, which is when I told her that I had every intention of making it up to her this time. "NO YOU DIDN'T!" she interrupted, "WE'LL SEE HOW LONG BEFORE YOU GET SERVICE NOW!" I told her she had changed my mind about making up the tip and waited around a few minutes (entertaining comments from the locals like "she sure told you") before leaving. I have no intention of returning to that cockroach den. I would have called and complained to the owner, but he's her uncle....

10-11-07 Owner has been in Business for over 35 years and takes pride to help his customers, with quality food! It's hard to please every-one! no-mater what a person does!!! Some people even hate them-selves!!! We go to Brownies all the time, the coffee is great! food is excellent! The owner even welcomes his customers with a smile! Gresham,Oregon Customer

Loved the Food and the service was great. Next time I'm in Yuma I will stop in and have a great meal.

First off, this restaurant is not fast food. I believe it offers the best food in Yuma at the best price. My family and I love to eat here at a regular basis and find the food to be great. They have the best baby-back ribs, and the owner Bobby himself cuts all his meats, so naturally they have great steaks. I enjoy looking at the old pictures of Yuma and of movie stars on the wall. Overall I find it to be a charming restaurant with great food and service and when you enter it just makes you feel at home.

My husband and I stopped for the night at Yuma and found the Hunter steakhouse online. The most recent ratings were terrible and we almost cancelled our reservations after reading them. We just finished our dinner there

tried them twice. Specials seem to be old fish and meat they are trying to get rid of. Cat fish special old and gross.But they did not charge when we complained
