This is what everyone thinks of when they talk about a great place for a family dinner. A group of friends and I all get in the motorhome and have a "boys day out" a couple times a year. There aren't many places I would drive 125 miles for lunch, but this is one of them. Lunch/Dinner plates are available, but we opt for the family style serving of Catfish, country ham, white beans, greens, onion rings and french fries. It's all you can eat for about $13, and worth every penny. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Right across the street is the Ranger station where you can see some of the Eagles native to the area that are being nursed back to health and take a short walk down a wooden bridge to the lake. The bald cypress trees are hundreds of years old and are breathtaking.

This traditional "family style" dinner plate folksy place offers some great food, especially their choice of a full meal (abt. $12) which would include refills on: catfish filets, catfish steaks, 2 kinds of coleslaw, onion rings, white beans, hushpuppies, green beans, fries or rebaked potatoes. Individual orders range from a plate to any amount you wish to eat at extremely reasonable prices. Busy, busy, busy... always a sign of good food, fellowship and service. Our church groups go often and have never complained of the service, food or fun at Boyettes. I wholeheartedly recommend these folks and this restaurant.
