Remembering Boots Texas Roadhouse
Boots Texas Roadhouse left few traces online, but the people who knew it haven't forgotten. In a 2023 Reddit thread, former staff and customers swapped memories of the Steubenville restaurant.
One former employee says they worked there the entire time it was open, mostly behind the bar but also waiting tables, and calls those some of the best years of their life. They recall that it closed around June 1998.
Another commenter remembers going as a kid of about 10 with grandparents from nearby Wintersville, and the fun of tossing peanut shells on the floor. One admits the peanuts and glassware had a way of walking out the door, and the former employee says a few people they know still keep Boots mugs at home.
