Bombay, The Gateway to India. Then. As now. During the days of the British Raj, it was the first port of call for steamships touching India. It reigned over the Bombay Province with the same verve and vigor which endures today.The Bombay Province included Sind (now in Pakistan), Gujarat, Hyderabad-Deccan, the district of Karnataka and the towns bordering Goa. It was an age of elegance, of sunlit days and starry nights, imbued with the ceremony of empire and a graciousness characteristic of the time. It was an age of grand dinners known as Burra Khanas, of Shikars and cold weather tours and Khansamas, or expert cooks, who produced an astonishing variety of English food and traditional Indian dishes in Dak bungalows. Above all, it was an age which witnessed a spectacular intermingling of peoples, cuisines, customs and traditions.Indian cuisine can be enjoyed as much during the cooking process as during meal time. The aroma from cooking spices, herbs, onions and garlic creates the best kind of potpourri. Indian cooking is basically stove top cooking with the knowledge of how and when to use these spices to bring out their charismatic aromas. In addition, history trails the exotic style of grill cooking over charcoal in the clay ovens, traditionally known as the Tandoors. Food is good and well cooked. The Service is nice.
We had been there and had order some subzi which turned out to be spicy when we had asked for it to be as low spicy as possible. The manager came down and appologized when we brought it to there notice and offered to have it replaced.. Since we were almost done.. he didnt charge us for it... Its a nice place to eat

Great food, great service, great price! What's not to love? We eat here as often as we can without getting burned out. It reminds us of the great Indian food we had in California, prepared by our neighbors.

Very good food. Biryani was awesome. Pastries were excellent. Black Forest was good. Dahi Vada was super. Restaurant was very clean and all items in the menu are available.

I love this place. the food is very cheap and of extremely good quality. i like to order nihari and it tastes delicious. their kabab masala, biryani and bihari kababs are also very nice. love it!!

Excellent food. Always fresh. Recommend the traditional Indian dishes. Meats that are good are chicken and lamb. Avoid the beef/steak (not so good here). SErvice is usually pretty good. Always call for reservations
