I used to live in Bear Lake and would go to Big Al's whenever I was in Manistee. I have since moved away and have not been able to find anything that even comes close to Big Al's. I wish he would open a restaurant where I live. The Big Al's Special with Sub Sauce is THE BEST sub I have ever had. Whenever family goes to Bear Lake for a visit or family comes to us to visit, Big Al's must come home with us!!

This is a local legend! There's nothing like having an Al's Special with extra Sub Sauce! His subs are out of this world, affordable and the stromboli with sub sauce is to die for. You can't go wrong with really anything on his menu. And we're all wondering when he's going to franchise or bottle up that sub sauce!
