Took my wife and 3 children here. Couldn't believe that they added 18% tip to the bill AUTOMATICALLY for having a group of 5. You've got to be kidding me. Service was 10% tip at most. Will definately not go back.

My husband and I are both oriental, so finding good oriental food was critical when we moved to Rio Rancho in 2008. Banana Leaf is probably some of the best oriental food I have ever had. They mix korean, chinese, vietnamese, and any other -nese you could think of into some great dishes. Their Pineapple Fried Rice is to die for and my picky kids love it as well as their teriaki chicken. Their Pho soup is even better than Mom's chicken soup when you are sick, and when you want to clear those sinuses, order that with medium heat. We are slowly working our way through their menu, and I keep having the childhood flashback moments with every bite. The funny thing is that my husband keeps having those too, and he's half korean, and I'm half chinese. Two different types of food that have been mixed well. Their vegis have always been fresh. Their sauces are what carry their dishes and are loaded with great flavors. It's hard to stop eating even after you are full. Their staff is always friendly and the colors in the restaurant will keep the kids entertained until dinner comes. We would highly recommend the quick trip to Banana Leaf (just up 528) to anyone willing to try some good authentic oriental flavor.
